BA Studies

Just wanted to let you guys know, that I am really busy at the moment working on my Bachelor of Arts topic.
Its a lot of work and its due February. Still I am working as a Freelancer on several other projects, so time is becoming very short.

Finally back ONLINE

Good day my Blog readers. It has been some time since my latest post. But I finally found some time to refresh my Blog post. As you might have read, this is my last week working at the VFX Company in germany as a freelancer, after that I have to concentrate on my BA Thesis wich weill be about Global Illumination issues concerning Animations in Maya. But more later on that topic.

I told you that I will keep you posted when the Music Video will be released I was working on. It got launched 6 Days ago without me knowing...Anyways, up till now it has around 105k Clicks in Iran, and on YouTube around 26k. Within the first weeks its a lot I must say :) Here you can see some screen-grabs of the video, or click on the links below to have a look at the complete music video.

On the first of december I will start on my BA Thesis which is due march 2011..It will be a lot of work, but I will of course keep you guys posted. Inbetween I still have some smaller 3D Projects I am working on, where I will post some WIP (work-in-progress) pictures to keep ypu up to date.

I was just surfing the web, and found some stunning work done by Alex Roman. Its one of the best 3D works I have seen yet. All done in 3dsMax, Vray and After Effects.

Hello my Blog readers,

I´m sorry for  this late blog update, but last week was really hectic.
As you might know, I am currently working on probation basis at a multi media agency in Dusseldorf, and there is not much time left for any blog postings. But now its Sunday, no work, so i figured to post some updates on my projects.
First of all I want to dedicate this Blog post to a very good friend of mine, who inspired me to create my own Blog, and post my projects for others to see. His name is Manfred Werner, he is a professional photographer and lives and works in Cape Town. He already has a very big name in Cape Town, and is currently in Germany for an apprenticeship at Atelier Weisches Lischt in Oftersheim.

For whats happening with my projects, I more or less told you about it. I am working at this company on probation basis, so there is not much time left for any private projects, though I ve got several job requests. The one is a character animation of an human-like fox, and the other is a complete cartoon animation for some potato chip company. I am waiting for the concept designs, and after that we will discuss the next step.
I am quite happy for any new projects, so if you have any job you have to get done, doesn't matter small or big. Feel free to contact me, I would be more than happy.

just wanted to share with you some work I have done..Nothing special..Did all the shading and animating of the robot character.

This robot is fully animated with Motion Capture date, to make it look real, and nice convincing.

Shortfilm - Sapere Aude

Sapere Aude is the name of our upcoming short-film which will be release in two weeks.  

Sapere aude is a Latin phrase meaning "dare to discern". Originally used by Horace, it is a common motto for universities and other institutions, after becoming closely associated with The Enlightenment by Immanuel Kant in his seminal essay, What is Enlightenment?. Kant claimed it was the motto for the entire period, and used it to explore his theories of reason in the public sphere. Later, Michel Foucault took up Kant's formulation in an attempt for a place for the individual in his post-structuralist philosophy and come to terms with the problematic legacy of the Enlightenment. -Wikipedia-

I told you in my last Blog post that it is a fantasy story. We want to show with the film that books, whatever kind of book,  are alive in our own imagination. We have three random actors who are reading books at their favorite places. As they read along we want to show their fantasy with some sophisticated Visual Effects shots..And you can imaging what a mind is capable of imagining.

Music Video PART 3 - Insights

So its Blog-time again :)
Yesterday I finished my VFX work on the musicvideo, so its almost release time. The producer told me it will be released by the end of the coming week. So I am pretty excited how it will turn out. I just got like 500frames to work on, which means I didnt see any of the rest of the video. So I too am psyched.

Now the musicvideo is done, immediately the next project has begun. Its a fantasy short-film, with lots of matchmoving and vfx..More later

Music video for Persian Pop Star VALY PART2

Hello people, just wanted to show you some progress on the Music Video. In this picture sequence you can see Valy transform into a motorcycle which was done in Maya and After Effects. Today I will work on three more transformations, valy into concept car, aircraft and an android robot.

(The background is just for preview purposes, not the final version)

Other then that, the SAE Alumni Award show in Berlin was really great. Met lots of interesting people and had a great after party :)

Alumni Award

Hello People,

I just got notified that I have won an Alumni Award in the Junior 3D category. It will be handed out tomorrow evening in Berlin, so I have to pack my things and get a move on. To compete I had so send in a short 3D Animation. My Animation was two minutes long, where two Kinderüberraschungseier (Kinder Suprise Eggs) live in a supermarket and have an interesting day.
Here is the short:







The musicvideo I am working on, is getting along very well. The render computer is doing its job 24/7 so soon it is finished and I can open up After Effects and start the compositing work.

Music video for Persian Pop Star VALY

Hello Guys,

Currently I am working on a music video for a Persian Pop star named Valy. All of his previous videos were produced in the USA until now. This will be the first production made in Germany.
We used lots of greenscreen footag for some nice visual effects including some transformations, tornados and some great effects.

 P.S. I ve just returned from the movie theater and have to say that "The Town" starring Ben Afflect is a really awesome and exciting movie. Have a look at IMDB - The Town

I just completed my To-Do list for 2010..So before the end of this year I still have to work hard. To successfully complete my Bachelor in Film and Animation I have still lots of work to do..Which means, I have to start immedialtely ;)
