This Audi was rendered with Maya and Vray. I got the model sponsered, so I just did the lighting and rendering.

Cerebus the Aardvark
Hello I am back,
The Final Update of the Scene. How do you like it? Some improvements?
I have successfully finished my Bachelor of Arts studies, and can know work 100% on my 3D work.
I have been asked to participate in an animation short film called Cerebus the Aardvark which is an adventurous and evil comic story of a pig in the big city. To get some insights, you can have a look at the website, http://www.cerebus3d.com/home.html
Currently I am working on a tavern scene where a major part in the story takes place, here is my current progress of the scene. I will keep you updated.
I will now continue on the texturing part..It will take a while because of trial and error.
With best regards
Arvid Schneider,
keep my blog alive by sharing.

Interior visualisation
This one will be a big update.
First of all I want to share with you, that I have finished my BA Studies with the thesis posted some while back.
So to give you a detailed image of the visualization, here is the final rendering.
If you are interested in a wireframe image have a look at the animation of this scene, which took me a week to complete with maya and vray.

So I am back.
If you havent seen it already, I have a new webpage online. It is accessible via www.ursproductions.com
My Blog posts will also show there, so you can either read my Blog on my webpage, or here.
I am currently in the middle of my Bachelors studies project, so time is short, as always. Its about creating a 3D Visualization of an real existing interior.
The final render of the interior looks like this:
I have to finish the project on the 25th May. There is still a lot of work to do. I will try to keep you posted.
I will crate a complete workflow tutorial on how I achieved this visualization.
So subscribe to this blog to be up to date on recent news.
Thanks

BA Studies project UPDATE
So, I finally started with my bachelor studies project. What follows is my topic, thesis and objective. The interior design is modeld in a work in progress forum here .
recent images, check forum for the latest images.
Topic: Photo-realistic simulation of an existing space.
Thesis: With the help of modern 3D applications, it is possible to generate a photo-realistic simulation of a real existing space within a week of work.
Objective: The experiment will examine whether it is possible to make a realistic simulation of an existing space with the help of 3D applications within seven days. The report documents the development, the progress, results and final evaluation of the experiment. The completion of the simulation, with the help of several 3D artists with an experience between three and four years with the 3D application - Autodesk Maya, will be carried out in order to achieve a more professional result. The realistic simulation will be demonstrated several interior designers, 3D artists and architects to carry out the comparison with a real and a virtual space so as to ensure whether the experiment has succeeded or failed. The goal is for users who work with 3D applications to show that it is possible for 3D artists in the central area of experience to create an accurate simulation. Another goal is to prove that it is possible to replace the photo-camera with simulations to achieve an identical result. With a simulation it is easier, faster and cheaper for desired changes, rather than to take pictures of a living room again. The experiment is performed with the 3D application Maya 2011 Autodesk, Vray (as rendering engine) and Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Zbrush 4 Maya Vray
Hey there,
it has been some time..But I am excused, I had lots of projects going on, so not too much time.
Today I tried myself at the amazing software Zbrush. It is simple to say, amazing.
It is easy to use, and very simple to export the normal maps, displacement maps, to maya, or your favourite 3D software.
This was my first attempt with normal maps and displacement maps. I think I got it to work pretty well ;)

SMC - Speed Modeling Challenges
Hello again,
on my favourite 3D Forum they launched the Speed modeling challenges again, which makes me really happy, beacause I get a nice motivation to create new 3D models. This weeks challenge was "LunchBox" where you have exactly 1Hour to model your lunchbox, shading and texturing times excluded.
I entered with two "lunchboxes" which folloe here:
These where my renders. If you are interested in the other members lunchboxes have a look here Lunch Box Forum
Thank you for your support!

i7 Computer is stunning.
Hello,
so my computer finally arrived. And I installed all the parts :)
At first I had some problems, because the SSD disk was not recognized. But after a while I figured it out, installed windows, and of course my 3D Applications.
A test image rendered on my old machine took me, 18minutes, on the new i7 the same scene renders under 3 minutes. So its a hell of a improvement, which is really great :)
Currently I am working on a project for an Afghane Engineer who is situated in Germany.
After that, i will keep you posted with my latest Projects and 3d Animations.
Best regards Arvid Schneider
